Danielle Elise Bartley is an internationally award-winning director and cinematographer drawn to stories that feel lived-in, intimate, and human. Her background in photojournalism shapes the way she works, with an eye for the small gestures and moments that make an image feel real, and a love for thoughtful lighting, movement, and composition.

In 2026, Bartley had two projects premiere at SXSW and won Best Web Series at HollyShorts, following two projects at Tribeca in 2024. Her work has also been recognized by the European Cinematography Awards, including her first directorial win at the Clapham International Film Festival. Beyond festivals, Bartley’s work spans narrative, music videos, experimental pieces, and commercial projects, including work for Apple TV+, Netflix, NASA, and the Smithsonian.
